We have lost another illuminary of the fantasy/SF world. While certainly more of his writings were in the SF realm, he was fascinated by the paranormal. His writings both fiction and non-fiction were certainly an influence on me and I am sure on many others. He certainly should be welcomed at the Plateau of Forever. May the he rest well and safely.

You do seem to be correct about the pattern of three. Hopefully it already happened and we never noticed number one.
