We are attempting to get some tidbits posted on AE as soon as we get time. Currently we are NOT on schedule due to art issues still, but who knows - we could easily get back on schedule for an early summer release - time will tell.

Here is a sample of 1 drawing that will be in the AE book.

hope you enjoy.

Thanks!

Due to all of the issues - we will be mixing art styles as most other compnaies do just so we can get the project done. Though there is a nice chunk done in this style.

Very Nice. Any of the old timers from the original books going to be represented in the new one. It might be nice as a kind of continuity thing to see one or two of the old school artists' work in there.

I cant say for certain, but it looks like probably yes due to the shortage of art. Some of the old timers contacted us over the last 2 years and wanted to do some stuff, but they did not respond back after we opened dialog....But we might have a couple pieces from the old days not used yet.

Very cool. If you need to reuse items from the past, check and see what DH had as far as agreements with them. You may be able to use old art that has been published again. Then again, those contracts may well have run. By the way, its been a long time. Happy New Year to both you and George. I hope the year is treating you both well.

Almost looks like something from the Fraim brothers.

Have you talked to those guys?

Essentially we took our sculptor off of sculpting duties and had him draw. He has not drawn anything significant for nearly 20+ years (except about 4 or 5 pieces over the last 5 years).

This particular drawing was his second in the series for AE. We'll supplement him with other art.

That's good, at least in my opinion.

The Fraim Brothers did the artwork in the Hackmaster books. Mostly line drawings, black and white. They're fond of "adventurers in bad situations" and things like that in the style of AD&D rules books.

I like the pic a lot :D as it has a very classic Arduinian "vibe" to it. I hope your artists don't hold back. I'm so sick of politically correct fantasy art or pseudo-anime style fantasy. Have your artists read some Howard, Smith, and Lovecraft and then do some drawing 8)

PAX ET LUX,

Roy

Absolutely!

No more idiots with swords three times their own size and seemingly 10 gallons of fantasy blood.

Wow, I missed the Deodanth post! How in H-e-double hockey sticks did that happen, great format, not the minimalist statblock of a certain other system.
