I gotcha.
This is awesome. Runeweaver just may become my favorite prof. because once you have a handful of runes and the means to use them efficiently, you can not only be very powerful in game, but have fun out of game creating new combos and whatnot.
And my goal for every character is to have fun, not get powerful or worry about death. I have 3 backups for my Hobbitt so im ready for him to go!
However, for Azimael, my runeweaver, I plan to play him as a Raistlin sort of character, if your familiar, whos lust for power may drive him to the dark side. His brother, Arimael, is a mage who I plan to keep good for certain. They ar of course High Elves, both magic users but very different personalities and even ways of using the arcane. They will, at least at first and until/if Azimael goes mad, have an unbreakable bond that keeps them always a pair. (Double PCs!)
I also wanna givem a Half Elf younger brother whos still a only maybe 13 when they begin their adventures (at the arly ages of 200). This way they will have a legacy or whatever to pass down when the little bro is old enough for his adventures. Azimael despises his young half brother and Arimael loves but pities him. Of course even with their' bond, Azimael secretly looks down upon Arimael too, in a way, because he views cast magic as weak and "not magic proper".
Sorry for ranting there... im having fun with this...
